Coach Registration and Certification

Are you interested in coaching for the 2025 season?

We will be using the RAMP registration system to keep track of all Coaching Certifications, Coaching Courses and Police Information Checks.

You need to have completed 4 tasks:

1. RAMP REGISTRATION

It is the same system that you use to register your player - same Username and Password.

You just click on Coach/Staff Registration.

You will be REQUIRED to enter in your NCCP# so have it ready.

Click here to register.

2. COACHING CERTIFICATION

If you are a first-time coach in lacrosse, regardless of the age group you are coaching, you need to take Community Development.

If you are coaching U7-U13, you are required to have Community Development.

If you are coaching U15-U17, you are required to take Competitive Introduction.

If you need to take a coaching Clinic for the 2025 season, those dates and times are TBD.

ELEV8 COACHING MENTORSHIP

Coach Certification Clinics 2025 (TBD)

The process to register for these clinics also changed in 2024.

3. POLICE INFORMATION CHECKS - (PIC-VSS)

Ensure that you have an up-to-date Police Information Check.  They are valid for 3 years.

If you have an existing Police Check, that is not already there, please upload it.

The process has changed for starting a new application with the Calgary Police Service.  If you do not have a valid Police Check please email Kelly Mantei execdirector@sabrecatslax.com.  We will send you a code directly from the Calgary EPIC system with details as to how to apply for your PIC-VS.  This is the only way for coaches to NOT have to pay for the Calgary PIC themselves.

*New applications will not be accepted without a letter from the Sabrecats.  You will need to print, sign and scan the letter below (along with 2 pieces of government-issued ID) to go with your application.

4 COACHING COURSES

Your NCCP# tracks all your coaching courses and certifications across all sports.

So if you established a NCCP# for hockey (or another sport) coaching certification, you use the same number for lacrosse coaching certifications and tracking of courses.

You will be required to have completed one course along with your coaching certification
