HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
We have been putting plans in motion for a "normal" 2022 lacrosse season. Registration will open tomorrow - Monday January 10, 2022.
We are in the process of finalizing evaluation dates - they will be posted on our website hopefully by the end of next week. As an association, we have decided, that all evaluations will begin in March. We are hoping, that by then, the omicron COVID variant will be more under control and we can host a "normal" evaluation process for 2022. Please be forewarned that, as a result, there will be lacrosse over the CBE and CCSD spring breaks.
Volunteerism plays a huge role in the success of any lacrosse season. We are in need of Age Group Coordinators and a variety of Board positions. If you are interested, please contact me directly by replying to this email.
What a challenging year it has been for all!!
Registration will open - Monday January 10th, 2022. Please go to our website homepage and click 2022 Registration along top menu buttons.
We are in the process of planning for the 2022 lacrosse season. At this time our plans are to have a "normal" season. But as we all know - this is a fluid situation and can change at a moments notice from AHS and the Alberta Government.
We have kept fees for 2022 at the same level as 2019…
**Registration numbers are critical to plan appropriately - so if you are intending to participate in the 2022 season please register as soon as possible.**
We are planning for the formation of A teams at the 12U, 14U, and 16U age levels. At registration, you will be given the option to state your intention of wanting to play on an A team. As in previous years, there will be a $50 cost to try out for an A team.
What will evaluations look like? When will they happen? That of course depends entirely on AHS restrictions/guidelines and facility availability. When it is feasible to finalize details and dates, we will communicate via email and post the communications on our website as well.
There will be a volunteer bond for the 2022 season - as like I said earlier we are planning for a "normal" season and will require our member families to volunteer at the association level.
As we have all becoming painfully used to, everything should be contemplated with the caveat “subject to change”.
